Chapter  3 Trigonometric Functions Exercise   3.2

Find the values of other five trigonometric functions if x lies in second quadrant.

In second quadrant sine and cosine are positive rest are negative.

sinx=3/5

cosx=-4/5

tanx=-3/4

cosecx=5/3

secx=-5/4

cotx=-4/3

Find the values of other five trigonometric functions if x lies in third quadrant.

Since x lies in the 3rd quadrant, the value of sin x will be negative.

Find the value of the trigonometric function cosec (–1410°)

It is known that the values of cosec repeat after an interval of 2Ï€ or 360°.

Find the value of the trigonometric function

It is known that the values of tan repeat after an interval of Ï€ or 180°.

Find the value of the trigonometric function

It is known that the values of sin repeat after an interval of 2Ï€ or 360°.

Find the value of the trigonometric function

It is known that the values of cot repeat after an interval of Ï€ or 180°.

Prove that sin (n + 1)x sin (n + 2)x + cos (n + 1)x cos (n + 2)x = cos x

L.H.S. = sin (n + 1)x sin(n + 2)x + cos (n + 1)x cos(n + 2)x

Prove that

It is known that
